Overview

Introduction

The OPITO Certified Internal Verifier (SCQF Level 8) is a 3-day program designed to equip participants with the competence and confidence to verify workplace assessments effectively. Internal Verifiers play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and quality of the assessment process within organizations. This training provides both theoretical and practical understanding of verification principles, evidence review, assessor support, and quality assurance. Participants will learn how to plan, monitor, and evaluate assessment decisions in accordance with OPITO standards, ensuring organizational competence assurance systems meet global industry requirements.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this training course, participants will be able to:

Explain the purpose, scope, and responsibilities of internal verification.
Identify and evaluate sources of assessment evidence.
Support and mentor assessors throughout the assessment process.
Monitor, verify, and maintain the quality and consistency of assessment decisions.
Maintain verification records and provide constructive feedback.
Assure the overall competence verification process in line with OPITO standards.
Conduct internal verification in both classroom and field environments.

Certification

All participants will receive Initial Training Certificates from OPITO on satisfying the following requirements:

100% Attendance in The Class and Involvement in Group Discussions
Submission Of Continuous Assessment (Individual Exercise and Group Exercise)
Successful Completion of the end of course assessment

All participants will receive Internal Verifier Qualifications Certificates from OPITO on satisfying the following requirements:

Performance of Internal Verification of two Assessors performing two Assessments each
Submission of Evidence of Internal Verification of Competence Assessments
Submission of Evidence of minimum one Standardization Meeting
