Fluid Flow & Hydraulics in Process Systems

Overview

Introduction

This course provides a practical understanding of fluid behaviour, hydraulic principles, flow regimes, pumps, pipelines, and pressure systems used in industrial plants. Participants will learn how to analyse flow patterns, calculate pressure drops, select pumps, design pipe networks, and troubleshoot flow-related issues. The program emphasizes real plant operations, best practices, and safety considerations in handling process fluids.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this training course, the participants will be able to:

• Understand fluid properties & flow regimes

• Calculate pressure drop and fluid flow parameters

• Analyse pump performance curves & selection

• Troubleshoot flow restrictions and hydraulic faults

• Apply best practices for safe and efficient hydraulics
