High Voltage Switching, Protection & Safety Certification

Overview

Introduction

This 5-day certification program provides in-depth technical knowledge and hands-on understanding of high-voltage (HV) switching operations, system protection, and electrical safety practices. It prepares participants to perform HV switching safely and efficiently in industrial and utility environments. The course emphasizes protection coordination, fault diagnosis, maintenance, and compliance with international safety standards. Participants will gain both theoretical and practical competencies to ensure safe and reliable high-voltage network operations.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the principles of high-voltage systems and switching operations.
  • Safely plan, isolate, and perform HV switching procedures.
  • Apply fault detection and protection coordination methods.
  • Interpret single-line diagrams and protection schemes.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and permit-to-work systems.
